URI NATIONAL ASSEMBLIES

The first National Assembly  of the URI was at  the Mar Thoma Orientation Centre, Kerala as early as 2004, which was inaugurated by the longest living bishop in the world, Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom.The second National Assembly was again at the Mar Thoma Shanthigiri Ashram, Alwaye in 2007, in conjunction with the second International Holy Books conference. All the pioneers of the Interfaith Movement in India attended this Assembly viz. Swami Agnivesh, Justice Shamsuddin, Fr. Nambiar Parambil, Bishop Zacharias, Homi Dalla, Madam Meher Master Moos, Swami Chaturvedi, Dr. Mohinder Singh, Vijay Bhatkar and so on. The third was organised by Biswadebji at Santhiniketan, West Bengal, the World famous University established by Tagore, the first Asian to win a Nobel Prize. Then Executive Director Charles Gibbs was the chief guest. The fourth URI National assembly was at St. Pious College, Mumbai. Our new Executive Director Victor Kazanjian was the guest of honour. Fifth assembly was at the Holy city of Amritsar. Sixth India Assembly was convened by South India region again and this time it was at the Ecumenical Christian Centre, Bangalore.7^th National assembly was  at the Holy City of Puri in Orissa.8^th Assembly was at was at Ajmer, yet another holy city.Varanasi for the 9th India National Assembly of URI. The 9th India National Assembly concluded with a series of presentations yesterday at the Department of Ethics of Banaras Hindu University. Dr. Victor Kazanjian gave a beautiful PPT review about the Global URI, as it is making its vibrant presence today in about 110 countries. He shared about the vison and our mission for the next decade. The 9th Assembly of URI witnessed the amazing talents of youngsters. Our Movement is safe in their hands. Bishop Swing and our pioneers can relax now. You have sown the seeds in a fertile field.The 10^th National Assembly will be a land mark for us again, will be celebrating its 20th year then. Over to South India again, the seat of Adi Sankara.

TRIBUTE PAID TO KURAKARAN THOMAS P. MALAKHI

തോമസ് പി. മലാഖി അന്തരിച്ചു

Mr. Thomas P. Malachi, Poonthottathu (Benny- 63 ) expired after prolonged illness. He was a great philanthropistand spiritual leader. He was President of Santhvanam Charitable Society, Karickam for a long time  andwith his wife Annie Thomas (late), he steered a number of projects for the suffering people. Mr. Thomas P. Malachi was also served one year as the president of Kurakaran Valiyaveettil Kudumbayogam Divaya Bodna unit .It was his father C. O Malachi was the President of Kurakaran Kudumbayogam for a long time. He donated two cents of land for Karickam YMCA

കരിക്കം പൂന്തോട്ടത്ത് വീട്ടിൽ  ശ്രി . സി  .ഒ മലാഖിയുടെ മകൻ  തോമസ് പി. മലാഖി { 63 വയസ്സ്} അന്തരിച്ചു .കുറെ വർഷങ്ങളായി അസുഖബാധിതനായിയിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു .കരിക്കം സാന്ദ്വനം ചാരിറ്റബിൾ സൊസൈറ്റിയുടെ പ്രസിഡണ്ടായി ദീഘനാൾ സേവനം അനുഷ്‌ടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് . ദുബായിയിൽ  ജോലിചെയ്തിരുന്ന  ബെന്നി  ഒരു വർഷം  കുരാക്കാരൻ  ദിവ്യബോധന യൂനിറ്റിൻറെ  പ്രെസിഡന്റായിരുന്നു .സഹധർമ്മിണി പരേതയായ ആനിതോമസും  സാമൂഹ്യസാംസ്‌ക്കാരിക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ വ്യാപൃതയായിരുന്നു .പിതാവ് പരേതനായ  സി.ഒ മലാഖി  സാമൂഹ്യ സാംസ്ക്കാരിക ആധ്യാത്മീക മേഖലകളിൽ  അറിയപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തിയായിരുന്നു . അദ്ദേഹം കരിക്കം YMCA  യ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി രണ്ട് സെൻറ് സ്ഥലം സംഭാവനയായി നൽകിയിരുന്നു .   ശ്രി . സി.ഒ  മലാഖി കുരാക്കാരൻ  വലിയവീട്ടിൽ കുടുംബയോഗത്തിൻറെ  പ്രെസിഡന്റായി ദീർഘനാൾ  പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്നു .അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ സേവനകാലത്താണ് കുടുംബയോഗത്തിന്  15 ലധികം  എൻഡോവ്മെന്റുകൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കാനും കുടുംബയോഗ ആസ്ഥാനമന്ദിരത്തിന് തുടക്കം കുറിക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞത് .പൂന്തോട്ടത്തിൽ തോമസ് പി. മലാഖിക്ക്നാടിൻറെ ആദരാഞ്ജലികൾ .
