Kottarakara Leather Emporium owner,Kizhaketheruve Valiyaveettil Kurakaran V.A Alex died on26th May,2013.. He was 64 age. He was the former member of the executive committee of the Kurakaran Valiya veettil Kudumba yogam and an active member of the church. He was buried at  Kizhakketheruvu Holi Trinity Catholic Church on 27^th May,2013. at 2 p.m. He is survived by his wife  Therasyamma Joseph, and a sonThomas Alex (Canada) and two daughtersMariam Alex and Elizabeth Alex .. Hundreds of people from the different walks of life paid him last respects. Among those who arrived to pay their last respects included Bishops,preists of Various Churches  Businessmen,Kurakaran Valiya veettil Kudumbayogam members, Officials of theKurakaran Women Association, ,Kurakaran Cultural Forum, Kurakaran Divya Bodan Unit Members and Political leaders, The last journey prayers at church led by parish vicar and other church leaders.
Kurakaran Valiya veettil Kudumba Yogam arranged a condolence meeting at Kurakaran Center. Kurakara A.C Thomas, Mr. P.G Achen Kunju, Prof. John Kurakar, Mr. K.C George, Mr. Bobby Kurakar, Mr. K.C Samuel, Mr. PMG Kurakaran spoke on the condolence meeting

CHERUKARA THANKAMMA OOMMAN

Kottarakara  Kizhakketheruvu- Ayppalloor Cherukara veettil Thankamma Oomman Ammachi,wife of Late  Oomman Kurakaran died on 30^th April,2013. She was  87.she is survived by  three daughters, Kunjumol, Susamma, Lissy, and  three sons Babu Kutty,Thomas Kunjumon. Ammachi’s body placed at his house for the near and dear to pay their last respects on 4^th May,2013. Hundreds from all sections of the society paid their last respects. The last journey from home began by 11.am on  4^th May Special funeral prayer at her house was lead by church Vicar and other priests of the various churches. Among those who paid their last respects to Ammachi on 4^th May  include Kurakaran A.C Thomas, P.G Achen Kunju, Bobby Kurakar,Mr. Varghese Kurakar, Mr. C Varghese Kurakar, Mr. T. Abraham, Prof. John Kurakar, Prof. Molly Kurakar, Mr. K.C George, Mr. Thomas Alex and Political and social leaders. The funeral was at Kizhakketheruve-Pattamala St. George Orthodox Church on 4^th May at 11.30 pm. Kudumba yogam was arranged a condolence meeting at Karickom padinjare veedu. Mr A.C Thomas presided over the meeting.
