KURAKARAN WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION
GANDHI BHAVAN VISIT
Members of the Kurakaran Women’s Association visited Pathanapuram Ghandi Bhavan Charity Centre on 26th January, 2010, the Republic day. A team of 34 members started the journey from Kottarakara at 9.30 am and reached Ghandi Bhavan at 10.45 am. The members of the association interacted with the inmates and staff of the charity centre.
The members also actively participated in all religion cultural programmes at Ghandi Bhavan Hall. Sri Punaloor Somasakaran, Director of the Ghandi Bhavan welcomed the chief guests and Association members. Prof John Kurakar inaugurated the cultural meeting. Sri. K Prasad Achenkovil, Smt Chinnama John, President, Kurakaran Women’s Association, Prof Molly Kurakar were spoke on the occasion.
The Association president handed over Rs 5000/-(Five Thousand) and clothes Ghandi Bhavan Secretary

40th Annual function 2nd January,2010 at Kurakar City Centre



40th Annual function of Kurakaran Valiyaveettil Kudumba yogam was inaugurated by Rev Daniel Thomas, secretary of Marthoma Jubilee Mandiram. Sri Kurakaran A.C Thomas presided over the function. Prof John Kurakar inaugurated the Kala Mela. Dr N.N Murali released the Kudumba Deepam, the annual of family publication. Sri Jacob Mathew Kurakaran, chief editor Kudumba Deepam welcommed the gatherings. Sri G. Joy, Smt Chinnamma John, president Kurakaran womens association,sri C. Chacko, Sri Thomas George were spoke on the inaugural session
Elocution for Divya Bodana Endowment

TRIBUTE TO REV M.G THOMAS MULLAVELI


Rev M.G Thomas Mullaveli, 70 who died on Wednesday 13th January 2010. He was a renowned vicar of Marthoma church. He served as vicar in several church's in Sharja, UAE, Valakom, Kollam, Thevalakara, Kumali, Meeyannoor, Kaithakuzhi, Mylom, Karickom. He was the secretary of Thiruvananthapuram- Kollam District, council member of Marthoma church.
He is survived his wife Ammalkutty (Rt Teacher) and daughters Jibi, Sibi, Shibi. The body laid at his home and Karickom Marthoma church from 2 pm on saturday, 17th January for the public to pay last respects. Rev. M.G Thomas was buried at Karickom Marthoma church on saturday at 4 pm. Tens of thousands people from different walks of life paid their last respects to the renowned vicar
